Excitement as Rougham school opens den

Youngsters at a primary school are now using a new outdoor classroom, named The Den.

The Den was built during the summer holiday at Rougham Primary School, in Church Road.

It was designed by Paul Chignell, a parent of a child at the school, and built by his company, Anson Timberworks.

The Den will be used by all the school’s children for outdoor learning and at playtimes it will provide a quiet reading and meeting area.

The project was funded with money raised by the school’s PTA.

Diane Grimes, co-headteacher, said: “We would like to thank all our parents for supporting the fund-raising events throughout the year. The children will all benefit from this fantastic new facility.”
