Man, 52, dies after being hit by train in Stowmarket

A man has died after he was hit by a train in Stowmarket.

British Transport Police were called to Stowmarket train station at 6.22pm on Saturday following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

Paramedics attended but the 52-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
